Forest: Focus for Productivity App Reviews

Whenever I try to get out this app, the guilt of killing a cute tree stops me every time. Especially since they have a variety to plant now. It stinks though that you have to be "focused" for like two hours to see the trees with all their additions. Though the addition of planting real life trees is cool, I think that the asking amount is a bit much.

Clever app, with a great point--all it takes is a gentle reminder that Ive planned to stay off my phone for X amount of time, and Ill stay off.

I pick up my phone ALL THE TIME while Im trying to get work done, and its such a gateway to distraction. This app has changed that! The little tree totally guilts me into carrying on, and my dissertation is coming along nicely thanks to this app! Of course its not the end of the world if the tree dies (and the app does allow you to take phone calls / lock your phone while the tree is growing), but I still find it really useful to remind me about what I should be doing! Thank you, Forest!

This is a great app! Ive had it for a while now and use it every time I need to work! I just have a couple suggestions; It would be great if you could whitelist certain apps because sometimes I do need to use my phone to work, and then I have to wait until the timer runs out so I dont kill my tree. It would also be really interesting if you gave each type of tree a certain perk, like it gives you twice as many coins or something like that. Even though this app is supposed to be simplistic and easy to use, maybe do something to make the task of focusing a little more gamified than just earning coins that you can plant trees with. Another thing is, gaining enough coins to plant a tree takes forever!! (At least for me) it would be great if you could maybe lower the price? I want to know that Im making an impact :)

I use the app to pass time to turn my downtime in to doing work and completing assignments. I also use it to prevent becoming addicted to my phone.

I recently started to take advantage of my smartphone for getting out there and promoting my growing business on social media. Forest has allowed me to put my phone down, for just enough time to brainstorm and create income driving content, while making the wait time and results both fun and rewarding; Forest should be featured as an Earth app.

I am ADHD and to concentrate on one thing at a time is difficult which mean my productivity can suffer. This app helps me stay OFF my phone and keep me focused on whatever I need each time I pick up my phone and try to distract myself for whatever reason the screen encourages me to stay away!! Dont look at me!! I absolutely love this app!!!

This literally is the number one reason why I get so much work done in one day! I am actually motivated by growing a lusher forest and the immediate incentives are a huge plus in the app. The wonderful partnership that it has with organizations that plant real trees is so eco friendly.

Helps you lay down roots and focus. Sometimes I pick up my phone to text someone, only to remember that if I do, Ill kill a whole family of birbs or ruin a picnic. Really fun and chill way to focus.

Trees are better than phones XD. I will plant more real trees.

Prevents me from looking at phone and I love the new tress introduced in update.

Great app. Just what I need to get through exams without getting sucked into the insta or fb scroll-athon. Wish I could use the "work with phone" feature and be able to select what apps I have access to. Other than that, its awesome!
